ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

PebblePad is a well-established educational technology business working with some of the world’s most prestigious and innovative universities, professional organisations and awarding bodies.

This is a great opportunity to join us at the start of our scale up program, to help design the playbook and to work in an amazing culture with lots of career opportunities. As part of our exciting growth plans we are looking for our first highly motivated, dynamic and passionate Account Executive to work within the newly created business development team.

Working closely with our sales and marketing teams you will help nurture, qualify and convert our lead funnel of both existing and prospective clients . You will do this through a mixture of leading the response to inbound leads, outbound contact with targeted accounts, social media and email campaigns. You will also be a key part of the team working with customers to expand the use of PebblePad in their institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will discover qualified opportunities by responding to inbound interests and targeted outbound prospects to build rapport and establish long-term relationships.

  • Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities

  • Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation for the sales team

  • Together with our Client Success and Business Development teams help drive the purchase of and expansion of use of our products and services with our existing customers

  • Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in CRM

  • Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified opportunities sales bookings.

  • Research and pre-qualify prospective customers.

  • Identify decision-makers and key influencers within target prospects’ organisations.

  • Present and introduce PebblePad to potential customers.

  • Call and email prospects to discover sales opportunities and drive conversation.

  • Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure company goals and targets are met.

  • Focus on building brand awareness and engagement of the PebblePad brand.

  • Work closely with the Business Development and marketing teams on regional go-to-market plans including existing customer retention and growth initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ sales experience, preferably in the SaaS (Software as a Service) or Technology industry.

  • You are tenacious, a self-starter, entrepreneurial, and bring a passion to what you do.

  • You know how to manage your time and can take a disciplined approach to setting up your day.

  • You are hungry for feedback and on a path to develop and hone your selling skills.

  • You are familiar with CRMs (i.e., HubSpot), and other prospecting and business development tools like LinkedIn Navigator.

  • A hard working, self-motivated person that is willing to achieve excellence.

  • Creative and exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Prior experience of consistently meeting/exceeding targets within specified time frames.

  • Experience selling software products and services.

The salary offered will be dependent on skills and experience and includes a generous benefits package. The role is full time and may be located at our Telford office or remote. As we work across different international time zones this role has to support working flexible hours where needed to support our clients.
