PREPARING FOR THE NEW NORMAL

While no university can be sure what the 'new normal' will look like when it comes to teaching, learning and assessment, most will be looking to technology for a helping hand. With many traditional models of online learning operating in a realm where knowledge (and the consumption thereof) is the primary focus, the 'new normal' will potentially see universities looking to technology to navigate the unchartered waters of managing the well-being and development of students from afar. Even if the idea of transitioning classroom content online doesn't faze seasoned practitioners, providing a means for students to capture and reflect on the deeply personal, social and experiential aspects of learning, raises unprecedented challenges for even the most experienced educators. In our series of expert webinars we'll be looking at how universities can develop practical and personal approaches to help manage the likes of induction, personal tutoring and planning and preparing for projects. We'll also be providing access to a bank of ready-made and ready-to-go resources.

WHY
PEBBLEPAD?

Here are three very good reasons why you can depend on us to help during these unprecedented times:

  1. Supporting the #newnormal requires a #notnormal technology. We've been blazing a trail in experiential learning and the kind of practices which are coming to the fore as a result of the pandemic for over 15 years - we really do know our stuff.

  2. We're lucky to have a rather wonderful and extensive community of practitioners who have been innovating and implementing student-centred practices long before the world had even heard of Covid-19. If you're finding that you're having more than the occasional 'how on earth do I approach this?' moment, it's likely that some bright spark in the PebblePad community has already blazed that trail.

  3. If you're already a PebblePad organisation and want to make the ideas outlined here a reality, we'll help you get there. We've removed all licence restrictions and we're offering our consultancy and expertise for free.
